What if we’ve overlooked the most affected combat force of the modern era?

🎯 Our Mission

Remote Warrior: Building the First Trauma-Informed System for Remote Combat Veterans

My name is Tanner Yackley. I’m a former MQ-9 Sensor Operator and Evaluator, and the founder of Remote Warrior LLC, a veteran-led initiative addressing the invisible trauma of Remote Combat Warriors (RCWs). This includes drone crews, ISR analysts, and intelligence professionals who often return home with no blood on their boots but deep trauma in their nervous systems. Our work is shaped by those who have lived it. Nearly every member of our small but growing team is an affected veteran. We are building the first trauma-informed system made specifically for our community and for the systems that failed us.

🏛 The Three Pillars

1. Resource Library
-Ground-level guides, white papers, trauma education, and self-advocacy tools.
-We built what didn’t exist. Now it’s here for the next one.
2. Training and Education
-Workshops, intake tools, RECON screening, and provider training.
-The system failed us. We are building a better one.
3. Smart Homes for Vets
-Sensor-driven, trauma-informed environments tested in real time.
-Regulation starts at home. We are wiring it in.

📊 Why It Matters

There are over 250,000 Remote Combat Warriors in the United States. That is more than the entire Special Operations community.More than fighter pilots. More than bomber crews.Yet we have:No trauma-specific intake at the VANo tailored mental health trackNo transition programs that reflect our experienceNo systems that recognize how we were affectedWe are the largest combat-exposed community in the Air Force. And we are still being overlooked.

✅ What We Have Built So Far

This is not theory. It is already in use.✔️ A 10-part educational and recovery guide library✔️ A trauma-responsive smart home prototype, with my own home serving as the test case✔️ A self-led Discord community, public intake tools, and national outreach kits✔️ A working pipeline for policy reform, training, and clinical partnershipsThis initiative is currently entirely self-funded and growing rapidly. To keep building, we are offering two immediate ways to support, with a third option coming soon.

🔧 1. Support the Work (Remote Warrior LLC)Your contribution fuels trauma-informed tools, smart home systems, sensory regulation kits, outreach content, podcast production, and clinical education materials. Every dollar helps veterans and families access solutions that actually work.

👤 2. Support the Founder (Tanner Yackley)This mission is being built from inside the first trauma-informed veteran home. It is a live testing ground where we are learning in real time what helps regulate trauma, reconnect identity, and stabilize day-to-day life for Remote Combat Warriors. This is not a polished lab or institutional facility. It is one veteran’s home where real CPTSD meets real tools, and every lesson becomes something others can use.I am raising four children while managing my own symptoms and building this movement full time. Every routine, system, and breakthrough that works here is turned into practical tools, national guides, and resources that serve the broader community. This is not about one person. It is about proving what works so others can finally get help without waiting for a system that has ignored them for over twenty years.Supporting me directly helps sustain the environment, equipment, and stability that powers everything we are building. It keeps the mission moving forward not just for me, but for every Remote Combat Warrior who has been left behind.

🏛️ 3. Support the Nonprofit Mission (Coming Soon)The Remote Warrior Foundation will serve as the nonprofit arm of this work. It is on a very temporary pause due to legal and structural setup. Once active, it will accept charitable donations to fund education, family support, and national awareness programs.🚀 We Are Actively Seeking:Tech donations (lighting, audio, sleep, or workspace tools)Sponsorship and brand partnershipsMission-aligned visibility and storytelling opportunitiesCross-platform support from clinicians, VSOs, and educatorsIf you or your organization believes in this mission, I would be honored to connect. A media kit or short overview deck is available upon request.
